A sub-chief under the Bole Traditional Area in the Savannah region of Ghana Tingawura Sampson Seidu Abudu was elected Savannah region’s Council of State Representative after polling eleven (11) out of the fourteen (14) votes cast.
The event was held at the SRCC conference hall, Damongo on February 11, 2025.
The electoral college of 14 delegates saw each Assembly producing two voters from the seven (7) Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) in the Savannah Region.
Mr. David Acheampong, Deputy Regional Director, Electoral Commission, declared Tingawura Sampson the winner after a successful vote cast.
Votes obtained by candidates;
Tingawura Sampson Seidu – 11 votes
Tolodompewura Abdallah Ahmed (Chief Monor) – 0 votes
Bingorwura Samuel Adam Saibu – 2 votes
Kongwura Adam Seidu Jinkurge – 1 vote

Chief Tingawura Alhaji Sampson Abudu expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of Savannah region and Hon delegates for entrusting to him the responsibility of representing Savannah region on the Council of State. He assured the people of the area of full commitment to execute the job ahead.
Tingawura Sampson Abudu appealed for unity and partnership, and pledged to work with all stakeholders including all the four (4) opponents to promote the development of the Savannah region.
Salisu Bi-awurbe Issifu Esq, Savannah regional minister, thanked all stakeholders for a successful elections and assured them of his full commitment to push for the growth and development of the Savannah region.
The elections were graced by Savannah region NDC leadership, Hon Assembly Members, Chiefs, Queen Mothers’, religious leaders, heads of department, among others.
