You have my support to end longstanding Damongo water challenges – Busunuwura to Galus

Busunuwura Jonokpowu Monasa I, the President and Chief of Busunu Traditional Area has assured Adam Mutawakilu Galus and the team of his unflinching support aimed at ending the Damongo and Busunu water challenges.
Busunuwura Jonokpowu Monasa said Adam Mutawakilu Galus is a son of the area and therefore the best choice by President Mahama to end the water challenges in the Damongo Constituency in particular and Ghana in general.

Busunuwura Jonokpowu Monasa further appealed to Adam Mutawakilu Galus to assist in getting the youth of the area decent jobs rather than sharing money with the youth because jobs will sustain the youth for the rest of their lives.

“I want to appeal to you to assist the youth of my traditional area to get better jobs. It is good to teach the youth how to fish rather than fishing for them to consume. Once they are employed they won’t be so much pressure on you the leaders”.

Hon Adam Mutawakilu Galus was recently appointed as the Managing Director of Ghana Water Company Ltd by President John Mahama. Hon Adam Mutawakilu Galus was the parliamentary candidate for the NDC in the Damongo Constituency for the 2024 general elections.

Since his appointment in January 2025 as the new Managing Director of Ghana Water Company Ltd, Galus is paying homage to the chiefs and people of the area to seek for their support and blessings.

Hon Adam Mutawakilu Galus expressed gratitude to the Busunuwura Jonokpowu Monasa I and his traditional area and assured them of his determination to end the water challenges facing the people of West Gonja municipality. He also asked for their prayers and support to execute the agenda.

Adam Mutawakilu Galus added that he will do everything possible together with his team to secure decent jobs for the people of the area.

NDC Savannah regional chairman, Alhaji Imoro Seidu ‘Man Blessing’ called on the chiefs and people of Gonjaland to support Hon Galus with prayers to deliver on his mandate to end the water challenges in the area and help secure jobs for the people. He said the John Mahama administration will reset the economy to create more Jobs for the people and reduce poverty.

Other notable leaders during the visit were the NDC Vice regional chairman Ibn Zakaria, Constituency Executives.

Galus was welcomed into the Busunu community by women and youth groups and some NDC party faithfuls.
