The Savannah Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Seidu Ayuba, has called on party members across the region to uphold unity, discipline and mutual respect as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.
He said internal divisions, personal ambitions and political disagreements must not be allowed to undermine the collective interest and organisational strength of the party.
Mr. Ayuba made the call during the official commissioning of a new NPP Regional Office Complex in Damongo on Friday, October 30, 2026. The facility was constructed by the Member of Parliament for Damongo, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor.

Addressing party executives, former government appointees, Members of Parliament, party elders, constituency executives and other stakeholders, Mr. Ayuba described the commissioning as a significant milestone in strengthening the institutional foundation of the NPP in the Savannah Region.
He noted that the new office was more than just a physical structure, describing it as a centre for coordination, consultation, strategic planning and a symbol of the party’s shared identity and political aspirations.
The Regional Secretary expressed profound appreciation to the Damongo MP, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor, for his generosity and commitment towards the construction of the facility.

He also acknowledged the contributions of the Regional Chairman, regional and constituency executives, party elders, patrons and other individuals whose support helped make the project a reality.
Mr. Ayuba further stressed the importance of respecting the party’s constitution and established structures, insisting that no individual or position should be placed above the collective interest of the NPP.
According to him, although party members may have different political opinions, ambitions and interests, such differences should never destroy the organisational relationships that bind them together.
Turning his attention to the 2028 general elections, he described the task ahead as one that requires collective sacrifice, effective coordination, grassroots mobilisation and a renewed commitment to party unity.
He particularly urged parliamentary aspirants, delegates, constituency executives and party stakeholders to approach the remaining stages of the party’s restructuring process, especially the parliamentary primaries across the Savannah Region, with maturity and a high sense of responsibility.

He cautioned against hostility and unnecessary divisions during the primaries, emphasising that the exercise should strengthen internal democracy rather than create permanent political enemies.
Mr. Ayuba urged all aspirants to respect the party’s constitution, approved electoral guidelines and decisions of the appropriate party authorities, adding that the ultimate objective should be to secure victory for the NPP in 2028.
He further appealed to successful aspirants to demonstrate humility and extend a hand of fellowship to their competitors, while encouraging those who lose to put aside personal disappointments and remain committed to the party’s collective agenda.
Mr. Ayuba expressed the hope that the newly commissioned regional office would serve as a centre of unity, reconciliation, dialogue, innovation and strategic mobilisation, where every party member, irrespective of status or political affiliation within the party, would feel welcomed and valued.
He concluded by calling on party faithful to remain united and committed to the NPP’s development agenda, expressing confidence that discipline, cooperation and effective grassroots mobilisation would position the party for victory in the 2028 general elections.
