Salisu Bi-awurbe Isifu Esq., the Savannah regional minister, has appealed to all six (6) Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) in the region to uphold the principle of law governing their roles and responsibilities as they officially take over as the President representatives for the various Municipal and District Assemblies.
Bi-awurbe Isifu Esq. reminded the appointees that much as they were appointed they can as well be disappointed by president John Mahama.
The minister said this during a short program to officially handover administrative duties to the Municipal and District Chief Executives.
The West Gonja, East Gonja, North Gonja, Central Gonja, Sawla-Tuna-Kalba, and North East Gonja MDCEs were present during the handing over program at SRCC in Damongo on Friday 2nd May, 2025.
The Bole district is yet to confirm the DCE nominee or otherwise.

Salisu Bi-awurbe Isifu Esq said, “The principles in these appointed positions are that the very day you were appointed, be ready to be disappointed the following day. Much as you can be appointed so shall you also be disappointed.
As such we must do everything to support president John Mahama to achieve his objectives and succeed. Let’s speed up the processes to bring the needed development to our assemblies, no room to complain.”
Salisu Bi-awurbe Isifu Esq also admonished the MDCEs to be disciplined and get down to the people and work closely with the Executive Committee of the various local assemblies.
As a Lawyer, he appealed to them to do things that are legal and in accordance with the Constitution. Seek for legal guidance anytime, any day so as to run smooth administration.
The assemblies are legal entities of their own; they can sue and be sued, he added.
The regional minister commended the Chiefs and people of the area, Hon Assembly Members, heads of departments, and all stakeholders for the support of John Mahama’s administration.
