Mr. Alan John kyerematen, a presidential aspirant of the New patriotic party ( NPP ) has ended his two day tour of the savannah region with a call for a new leadership to steer the affairs of the country.
Mr. Alan John kyerematen arrived into the savannah region on the eve of Tuesday where he held meetings with the regional executive Committee of the NPP and continued with series of engagements on Wednesday, 22nd March, 2023 after a curtesy call on the new King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom Yagbonwura Bii-Kunutu Jewu Soale(I) at Damongo.
In an interview with Padfm.com.gh after his day’s activities in the regional capital, Mr. Alan kyerematen explained that the main purpose of his visit to the region is for him to have preliminary engagements with the different stakeholders in the region and not just with party supporters and members.
He further explained that in most of the regions he visited, he interacted with the Traditional authorities, religious based organisations including the Christian and Muslim communities, party membership and in some cases visited the markets as the leadership of the party and the country needed to be founded and anchored on the expectations of the ordinary people, particularly the market women.
He disclosed that his interest is not just for him to lead the New patriotic party but to make sure that he receives a popular acclamation and endorsement by the people of Ghana if he is selected as the flagbearer of the NPP.
He also stated that he would not have realised his full vision if he is selected but fails to win the presidency and said, he has so far been humbled to have the honour and privilege of such massive support from around the country and assured that it is not just the members of his party who are seeking for a new leadership but the whole country is also crying for a new time of leadership in the country and believes that he represents that new leadership and therefore calling on all to support him in his transformational agenda.
