As part of the regional monitoring exercise, a high-powered delegation from the Regional Education Directorate visited selected centres to encourage candidates and ensure smooth conduct of the exams.
Led by the Savannah Regional Director of Education, Mr. Bright A. Lawoe, the team included Mr. Issahaku Iddisha (West Gonja Municipal Director of Education), Mr. Akuro Amos Seidu (Regional Exams Officer), and Kpiirika Jatuat (Regional Public Relations Officer).

The team visited the Damongo SHS Examination Centre, where Mr. Lawoe addressed the candidates. He urged them to strive for academic excellence and make the region proud, particularly noting that the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, hails from the Savannah Region. He encouraged the students to work hard and bring honour to their families and communities.

Mr. Lawoe also reminded the invigilators of their critical role in maintaining the integrity of the exams and emphasized the need for malpractice-free conduct across all centres. He concluded the visit by wishing all candidates the best of luck in their exams.
The BECE is a crucial milestone for final-year Junior High School students in Ghana, serving as the gateway to senior high school education.
