The paramount chief of the Wasipe Traditional Council Wasipewura Kabasagya Anyame Mumuni II on behalf of the traditional area, has offered a heartfelt condolence to the families, friends, and colleagues of the August 6 2025 helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight responsible men in the Adansi area of Ashanti region.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the Wasipe Council, Jantonwura Peter Awusi Yakubu, it reads that “the Wasipe Traditional Council is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of eight heroes in a helicopter crash. We mourn the passing of two of our prominent sons from the Wasipe Traditional Area; Sandapewura Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna and Alhaj Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, who were part of the ill-fated group”.

The statement added “in this time of national grief, we stand in solidarity with His Excellency John Mahama, the government and the entire nation, mourning the loss of these brave individuals who lost their lives in the line of duty for our dear nation and in Service to Ghana”.
“We offer our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, friends, and colleagues of the deceased. May their memories be cherished and may God grant them Jannatul Firdaus. We pray for the peace and strength of their loved ones during the difficult time”.
The Wasipe Traditional Council joins the nation in paying tribute to the fallen heroes and reaffirms our commitment to upholding the values of unity, peace, and progress that they embodied.
