Newly appointed Regional Education Director for the Savannah Region, Madam Mabel Judith Micah accompanied with some officers of the savannah regional education Directorate on thursday, 13th July, 2023 paid a courtesy call on the King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) at his residence in Damongo.
The visit by the new regional education director, Madam Mabel Judith Micah was for her to pay homage and to also familiarise with the overlord of the Gonja Traditional Council.
Madam Mabel Judith Micah in a brief speech expressed her commitment and readiness to strive towards raising the standards of education in the savannah region and therefore calling for the support of the king and his subjects for their support as she can not achieve such a success without them.
She also noted that, in achieving higher heights in the improvement of the standards of education in the region, there will be the need for the education Directorate, the king and all stakeholders in the region to support and collaborate with each other to raise the name of the region for it’s name to be heard and felt across the country.
The King, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I who has set Education as one of his priority areas on his part, thanked Madam Mabel Judith Micah and her entourage for the courtesy call on him and promised to collaborate with her to uplift the standards of Education in his kingdom.
