The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana (Prof. Kalamomia) has issued a fervent declaration, asserting that the party in the region will vigorously pursue every single vote in the upcoming 2024 elections.
This proclamation by the regional chairman was made during an acclamation event in Damongo on Saturday, 17th February, 2024 where Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor was endorsed as the NPP parliamentary candidate for the Damongo constituency.
Speaking at the ceremony, the regional chairman emphasized the critical nature of the forthcoming elections, affirming that no stone will be left unturned in their quest for electoral success.
He underscored his commitment to leading the party forward, asserting that progress must not regress.
Highlighting the unity within the NPP, despite being a minority in the Savannah Region, Prof. Kalamonia urged all party members to stand united and work collaboratively towards the common goal of reclaiming political power. Quoting the adage, “a divided majority will always be crushed by a united minority,” stressing the importance of cohesion within the party ranks.
Reflecting on the achievements of the NPP in the region, he noted the remarkable progress made since the 2020 elections.
He explained that despite initial projections suggesting otherwise, the party secured three seats, surpassing expectations set by the National Campaign Team.
He commended the efforts of all seven parliamentary candidates in the region and called upon party members to support them unequivocally, transcending any internal differences.
As the 2024 elections loom, the NPP in the Savannah Region stands poised to navigate the political landscape with determination and resilience, fueled by the chairman’s unwavering commitment to securing victory at the polls.
