In the spirit of festive generosity, MTN Ghana has brightened the holiday season for new mothers in the Savannah Region through its annual Christmas celebration initiative.

Led by MTN’s territory controller, Matthew Abugbilla, the MTN staff generously donated hampers on behalf of the company to commemorate the births of 20 newborns comprising 9 from St. Anne’s hospital, 3 from the Damongo Town clinic and 8 from the Salaga government hospital born on December 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2023.

Each thoughtfully curated basket included essential items such as antiseptics, baby soaps, sponges, baby pomade and diapers.

Mr. Matthew Abugbilla expressed enthusiasm for the increased number of beneficiaries this year, highlighting that the initiative was carried out at three health facilities this year with the hope that it will be extended to other health facilities in the savannah Region.

He remarked that the essence of the exercise is geared towards sharing their joy with these newborns and their mothers during the festive season.

He reassured the mothers of MTN’s commitment to ongoing support for the children, expressing the organization’s hope that the hampers would contribute to the well-being of the newborns.

Madam Rumasia Abdul Jalil, a beneficiary, conveyed her gratitude on behalf of her fellow mothers, praising MTN for their thoughtful gesture during the Christmas festivities. “I’m grateful to MTN for what they’ve done for me. I’m very excited, and may God bless you all with prosperity,” she said.

Madam Felicia Saabome, the midwife in charge of the maternity ward at the St. Anne’s Catholic hospital, extended heartfelt appreciation to the MTN team for their unwavering support.

MTN Ghana’s annual Christmas celebration continues to exemplify the company’s commitment to social corporate responsibility, spreading joy and goodwill to families during the holiday season.
