The Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, has commissioned newly installed telecommunication network sites in several communities, marking a significant step toward improving rural connectivity and bridging the digital divide.
The commissioning formed part of a two-day development tour of the constituency held on April 24–25, 2026.
The newly completed network sites, implemented in collaboration with telecom infrastructure partners and GIFEC Ghana, serve the communities of Gbenfu, Kilampobile, Kibilma, Sonyo, and Bale. The project is expected to improve communication, enhance emergency response, security, and support economic activities in the beneficiary areas.

At a brief meeting at Gbenfu community to commission the sites, Hon. Yussif Sulemana expressed gratitude to residents for their patience during the long effort to improve network coverage.
He thanked H.E John Dramani Mahama, Hon Sam Goerge, and Mr Wahab, Savannah Regional GIFEC boss for the support to getting the challenge solved.
“It has always been my dream to see all communities in my Beloved constituency enjoy telecommunication services no matter their locations or population density”, he said.
Today’s ceremony therefore gave me so much joy and fulfillment— as it marked a significant milestone towards realizing my vision for the good people of Bole-Bamboi, he added.

The MP recalled that poor and unreliable connectivity was a major concern raised by communities during the campaign period, affecting communication, trade, and access to essential services. He noted that the installation of the sites systems fulfills a commitment made to residents to address the long-standing challenge.
Hon. Sulemana announced that all the installed sites/systems are fully operational, adding that residents can now communicate freely within the constituency and beyond without difficulty. He emphasized that the improved coverage eliminates the need for people to travel long distances in search of network signals, describing the development as a practical transformation in the daily lives of the people.
The chiefs and people of the five communities welcomed the intervention, describing it as long-awaited and transformative for communication, education, security, and local economic activities.
Madam Charity, a community member expressed gratitude to the MP and appealed to him to improve water supply systems, road networks, and empowerment initiatives for women to make life better for the people.
Prince Onumah Danquah of Remi Ghana Limited, working in collaboration with GIFEC Ghana, confirmed that that the sites have been successfully commissioned and are delivering stable and reliable connectivity. He commended local authorities for their cooperation throughout the project period.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities, and supporting youth and women to establish themselves for a better economic future.
