Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) Julius Neequay Kotey led a team to execute the commissioning of the DVLA Savannah regional office in Bole on Thursday 5th June, 2025.
The commissioning ceremony was also graced by the president and leader of the Bole Traditional Area, Bolewura Safo Kutugefeso I, the Member of Parliament for Bole Bamboi Constituency, Alhaji Yussif Sulemana Ori, Queen Mothers, religious leaders, security agencies, youth groups, and party leadership.
Julius Neequay Kotey in an address, commended president John Mahama, Hon Sulemana Yussif, Bolewura Safo Kutugefeso I and the good people of the area for extending a hearty welcome to the DVLA. He noted that the Bole office will make vehicle registration and licensing accessible to residents, especially those with unregistered cars, motorbikes, autorickshaws (yellow yellow), among others.
He assured the public of excellent service delivery to fast truck the DVLA’s work, and added that the teaming staff is dedicated to duty.
Julius Neequay Kotey however appealed to the public not to make any extra payments to get a license because the office has approved fees.
“Anyone charged above the approved fees should report immediately to the authority. We will post a rate card in front of the office to make the fees for each item known to the public”.

The Bole office will serve as a centre of excellence, providing a full range of DVLA services, including vehicle registration, licensing, renewals, compliance and enforcement, driver testing, and vehicle inspections. The authority is opening additional offices across the country to assist service delivery.
“We are opening more branches nationwide so that people can deal directly with DVLA staff. There is no need for agents or middlemen.”
Julius Neequay Kotey disclosed that the Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area, Bolewura Safo Kutugefeso I has allocated to the DVLA, a 4-acres land for the construction of ultramodern edifice with the sod cutting scheduled to take place in the coming months.
Hon. Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Yusif Sulemana Ori said the office is a good point to create jobs for individuals and households. The office is already engaging over 15 persons and more persons will be engaged to assist service delivery.
He added that his office is putting in great efforts and measures to get SSNIT office and other valuable offices to the Constituency. This will go a long way to reduce cost and burden on the people of the area.

Yussif Sulemana Ori assured the chiefs and people of the area of more development in roads, education, health, investments, among others.
A driving school according will be established in Bole as the DVLA regional office is situated in Bole.
A client, Sulemana Abdul Razack made history when he became the first person to get his driver’s license issued to him.
He thanked the stakeholders and the Authority for bringing DVLA services to the doorsteps of the people.
The Bole DVLA office is the second to be commissioned under the Authority’s ongoing expansion agenda, following the opening of a similar facility in Adenta. Several other offices will soon be established across the country to enhance accessibility and eliminate the need for middlemen.
Bolewura Safo Kutugefeso I welcome the idea of establishing the DVLA office in Bole. He charged the staff and stakeholders to deliver excellent services to promote activities of the Authority.
