Lawyer Alhaji Mahama Shaibu Obei, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Daboya/Mankarigu Constituency with support from John Mahama, the flag bearer of the NDC has initiated processes to rehabilitate damaged roads in the constituency. Daboya/Mankarigu Constituency is one of the seven (7) constituencies in the Savannah region of Ghana.
In a release copied this source, the NDC Communications Officer for the constituency Sidik Jabaru John noted ” It would be recalled that a few weeks back, Hon. Lawyer Obei procured trips of gravel and organized communal labor to fill potholes on Daboya township roads. As the videos went viral, the incoming president, HE John Dramani Mahama quickly intervened by collaborating with Hon. Alhaji Lawyer Obei to make this arrangement to mitigate the suffering of the good people of Daboya/Mankarigu Constituency.
Several roads in the North Gonja District are totally deteriorated, as a result, today Monday the 15th of July, 2024, with the help of the NDC Presidential candidate and God willing the next president of Ghana HE John Dramani Mahama, tipper truck, road grader and an excavator have been secured by Hon. Alhaji Lawyer Shaibu Mahama Obei to rehabilitate some major portions of Daboya/Bunsunu roads, Daboya township roads, Daboya/Lingbinsi road, and other roads that are in bad shape”.

NDC PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE FOR DABOYA/MANKARIGU CONSTITUENCY HON. LAWYER SHAIBU MAHAMA OBEI REHABILITATES ROADS IN NORTH GONJA DISTRICT.
The Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC in Daboya/Mankarigu Constituency Hon. Alhaji Lawyer Shaibu Mahama Obei with the help of HE John Dramani Mahama has secured heavy duty earth moving machinery to rehabilitate the worn-out roads in North Gonja District.
It would be recalled that a few weeks back, Hon. Lawyer Obei procured trips of gravel and organized communal labor to fill potholes on Daboya township roads. As the videos went viral, the incoming president, HE John Dramani Mahama quickly intervened by collaborating with Hon. Alhaji Lawyer Obei to make this arrangemet to mitigate the suffering of the good people of Daboya/Mankarigu Constituency.

According to Hon. Lawyer Obei, looking at the road network in North Gonja, it’s heart-wrenching, and to think that the NPP government neglected the Daboya township road construction and Daboya-Bunsunu road and poor handling of Daboya /Mankarigu road is an indication that the NPP government has failed the good people of North Gonja.
The rehabilitation of the roads, which is expected to be completed in a week’s time, will bring lots of relief to the commuters in North Gonja district and other business people plying on the roads.
A delegation by the overlord of the Wasipe Traditional Authority led by Chief Nabenguwura Adam lauded Hon. Alhaji Lawyer Shaibu Mahama Obei for his kind gestures and ensured him of the full support of the Wasipewura and his chiefs, declaring that this is the first time they have seen such huge gestures from an opposition leader and prays that God will grant Hon. Alhaji Lawyer Obei victory in election 2024 to bring more development to the constituency.
Hon. Alhaji Lawyer Shaibu Mahama Obei has pledged his commitment to bring more sustainable development to the people of Daboya/Mankarigu Constituency when elected as the next member of parliament for the constituency.
