It was a historic day on Wednesday, 15th March, 2023 in the Canteen electoral area as their workerholic, generational thinker, team player, advocate and most eloquent Assemblyman for the electoral area, Hon. Ananpansah B Abraham collaborated with the Fulbe Community in the Canteen electoral area to organize a fun game (football match) between the Fulbe community and a youth group called AB Fun Club(AFC) .
The initiative by the Assemblyman and the Fulbe community was to promote peace and unity among the Fulbe community and the youth of Canteen for a progressive development in the electoral area.
This maiden edition is the first of its kind in the history of the electoral area with the Fulbe community expressing interest in registering to participate in the Assemblyman’s End of Year Gala Competition henceforth.
In the Assemblyman’s speech, he categorically stated his readiness and willingness to nurture talents in the electoral area and work closely with everyone irrespective of color, political leaning, creed or tribe, so that each person can be able to achieve his or her goals and ambitions and promote community development.
He said development, progress and bringing the people together are his key priorities and nothing more.
Hon. Ab also expressed his excitement over how the Fulbe community and the youth of Canteen came in their numbers to make sure the match was a successful one and reiterated that, most of the Fulbes were his personal friends and close associates with long standing relationship.
The match was really a cracking one at the end of the 90 minutes with a 1 .1 draw and after penalties the Fulbes won AB Fun Club(AFC) 4:2 .
After the end of the match ,the Fulbe community elders expressed their joy and excitement on how the hard-working Assemblyman has always recongnised them as part of the electoral area and pledged to maintain close ties between them and the youth of the electoral area for a collective peaceful coexistence and social cohesion geared towards development.
