The Member of Parliament for the Bole–Bamboi Constituency and deputy minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Yusif Sulemana, has donated over 500 bags of sugar to Muslim communities across the constituency to support them during the holy month of Ramadan.
The donation, which forms part of the MP’s annual support to the Muslim Ummah, is aimed at easing the burden on families as they observe the month-long fasting period.
Presenting the items to community leaders, Hon. Sulemana stated that Ramadan is a period of sacrifice, reflection and generosity, and it is important to extend a helping hand to the less privileged.

He noted that sugar is an essential commodity during Ramadan, especially for the preparation of drinks and meals used in breaking the fast (Iftar), and expressed hope that the donation would bring relief and joy to many households.
He called on the chiefs and people to live in peace and harmony with other religious sects because we are all one people.
Alhaji Alhasssn Kasim, who received the items on behalf of the beneficiaries, some Islamic clerics and community leaders, expressed gratitude to the MP for his continued commitment to the welfare of Muslims in the constituency. And described the gesture as timely and thoughtful.
The beneficiaries offered special prayers for Hon. Sulemana, asking Allah to bless and guide him in his leadership and service to the people.
The Bole–Bamboi MP has over the years supported communities in areas such as education, health, youth empowerment and social welfare, reaffirming his dedication to inclusive development across the constituency.

Ramadan is one of the most significant periods in the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a time of fasting, prayer, charity and spiritual renewal.
The MP earlier presented over 400 streetlights to the Bole District Assembly to be distributed to needed communities.
The Hon DCE for Bole district, Mahmoud Abdulai received the streetlights on behalf of the Assembly. He expressed gratitude to the MP and assured the items will be distributed to needed communities
