
Following the political history of the Damongo Constituency over the past decade, it is without a shred of doubt that Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor has distinguished himself in his first term as Member of Parliament. His tenure has brought unprecedented development across various sectors and touched the lives of many, particularly the youth, children and women, who previously lacked awareness of viable opportunities.

- HEALTH SECTOR
Hon. Abu Jinapor’s interventions in the health sector have been both timely and impactful:
- He paid the electricity debt of the West Gonja Hospital after it was disconnected from the national grid and shut down for nearly a month. This swift intervention led to the hospital’s reconnection and reopening.
- Donated $10,000 for the repair of the hospital’s X-ray machine and provided several essential medical equipment and drugs.
- Donated an ambulance through the Rebecca Foundation to the Damongo Health Centre in 2019.
- Provided 29 brand-new motorbikes to the Ghana Health Service in West Gonja.

Hon. Jinapor also donates medications annually to health facilities in the constituency.
- EDUCATION AND ELECTRIFICATION
Hon. Jinapor’s commitment to education and rural electrification is unmatched:
- Constructed new school buildings in Seyiri, Grupe (3-unit classroom block), Mempeasem (3-unit block), Sumpini (3-unit block), and a full primary school in Gbatogbonto.
- Organised teachers award for teachers in Damongo Constituency.
- Provided electricity, boreholes, and other facilities to Kabampe, Kananto, and other rural communities.
- Supported Kananto community to complete their mosque.

- WATER SUPPLY
The MP provided boreholes to:
Zomkura, Gbatogbonto, Sumailakura, Sumanikura, Amadukura, Kidendelepe, Weinamdakura, Jenzikura, Abukarikura, Sor No. 1 (mechanized), Kamachelekura, Grumakura, Wawato (plus a motorcycle for women), Agric Settlement, and Porporso.
- SPORTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
- Renovated and modernized Damongo Town Park.
- Constructed Astro Turfs in Larabanga and Busunu.
- Built an ultramodern Community Centre in Damongo to serve as a hub for events and meetings.
- Renovated the Damongo Weekly Market and constructed a new market in Canteen.
- Ongoing improvement of Damongo inner roads.

SANITATION AND DRAIN
The MP also solved the biggest drainage in the constituency at Ngabripe/Almanara primary school and addition of 6 units of classroom block for JHS.

- Annual support to women in Damongo with capital to boost their businesses.
- Yearly farm inputs and ploughing services provided to farmers.
- Grinding mills provided to communities, including Gbatogbonto and Sumailakura.
- RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL SUPPORT
Annually donates rams to the 12 clans in Larabanga during Eid-ul-Adha.
In 2019, facilitated a historic visit of Larabanga’s Imam to the Jubilee House with the National Chief Imam.
- ADDITIONAL INTERVENTIONS
- Donated pick-up vehicles to Damongo SHS, Ndewura Jakpa SHS, and the GES Regional Office.
- Motorcycle donation to Damongo SHS for kitchen supplies transportation.
- Dredged and restored the Agric Dam, making it functional throughout the dry season.
- Donated bicycles to students from Achulokura and Sumanikura to ease their commute to school.
Hon. Abu Jinapor is a visionary, accessible, and results-oriented leader. His remarkable visibility and commitment to grassroots development make him a beacon of hope for the Damongo Constituency.
