The Daboya Youth Parliament has honoured Miss Sandra Ampeah, adjudged the Best Midwife/Nurse in the North Gonja District, for her outstanding dedication and exceptional contribution to maternal and child healthcare in the district.
The presentation, held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the North Gonja District Health Directorate, saw Miss Ampeah receive a citation, six yards of Daboya smock material, and a cash donation in recognition of her commitment to quality healthcare delivery.

The event was attended by the District Director of Health Services, staff of the Health Directorate, members of the Daboya Youth Parliament, and other invited guests.
Presenting the award, the leadership of the Daboya Youth Parliament commended Miss Ampeah for her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to ensuring safe motherhood. They described her as a role model whose selfless service has positively impacted countless mothers and families across the district.
“As a youth group, we are proud to celebrate excellence in public service. Your dedication continues to inspire confidence in our healthcare system, and we encourage you to keep up the remarkable work,” the group stated.

The occasion also served as an opportunity for the Youth Parliament to formally welcome the newly appointed North Gonja District Director of Health Services and the district’s new Medical Doctor.
Members expressed optimism that their leadership and expertise would further improve healthcare delivery in the district.
The Daboya Youth Parliament reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Health Directorate to promote public health initiatives. The group pledged its continued support for programmes on sanitation, drug abuse education, and other community-based interventions aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of residents.
The ceremony ended with congratulations to Miss Sandra Ampeah for her exemplary service, as stakeholders encouraged health professionals across the district to continue striving for excellence in the discharge of their duties.
