The confirmation of nominees for the positions of District Chief Executive of various municipal and district assemblies in the Savannah region of Ghana started positively with two assemblies confirming their nominees on Monday 14th April, 2025.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) nominees for North Gonja Hon. Abdulai Nashiru and Central Gonja Mahama Fuseini have been respectfully confirmed by the Hon Assembly Members of the two districts.
Mahama Fuseini polled 42 out of the 43 valid votes cast, representing 97.67% with one person voting against his confirmation ( 2.33%). He has thus, been confirmed and sworn in as the Hon DCE for the Central Gonja District on Monday 14th April, 2025.
In Daboya, Abdulai Nashiru, the nominee for the North Gonja District, has secured unanimous endorsement from all 22 Hon Assembly Members of the district, representing 100%.
Both DCEs pledged to prioritize the completion of all ongoing and uncomplicated projects initiated by the previous administration in their districts.
Both expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in them and called for unity and cooperation among stakeholders to drive growth and development in their districts.
