Hon Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for West Gonja Municipality, Yakubu Yussif Castro has called for intense partnership and collaboration to help him execute the task assigned to him by H.E John Mahama.
Yussif Castro made the call during his victory speech in Damongo after 17 Hon Assembly Members voted yes (100%) to confirm his nomination as the MCE for West Gonja municipality.
He also expressed gratitude to the president of Ghana, Hon Assembly Members, the regional minister, NDC party leadership, and the youth of the area.
“Hon Members of this august house, who have just exercised their Constitutional rights and public servants, I cannot execute the job alone. I therefore, extend a hand of partnership, teamwork, and cooperation”.
He added that “the development of West Gonja municipality requires unity in diversity, transparency and accountability and I urge all stakeholders to rise above partisan and self-interest and focus on what unite us, our people, our electoral areas and our shared future”.
He assured that he will prioritise the vision of the President of the Republic of Ghana John Mahama to improve good governance, job creation, quality education, improved healthcare, sanitation, infrastructure, local economic development and internal revenue mobilization strategies.
The Savannah regional minister Lawyer Salisu Bi-awurbe Isifu Esq., NDC regional executives led by Chairman Imoro Seidu ‘Man Blessing’, NDC Damongo Constituency Executives led by Chairman Abdulai Sulemana (Chairman Trouble), party faithfuls.
Others include the traditional and religious leaders, youth groups, women groups, heads of departments, security agencies, among others.
