The Regional Youth Wing of the New Patriotic party in the Savannah Region has successfully organized a fitness walk with the various youth groups of the party at Damongo.
The fitness walk was organised as party of activities marking the party’s Youth and TESCON conference on Saturday, 28th January,2023 and was joined by the National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Abdul Salam Mustapha, the Savannah Regional Chairman, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, MCE for West Gonja, Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari and other lead members of the NPP in the Savannah Region.
The walk started at the Damongo Astro turf pitch with some aerobics and later proceeded with a walk through some principal streets of Damongo.
Addressing the youth after the walk, the Savannah Regional Chairman of the NPP, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana ( Prof. Kalamonia ) revealed how relieved he was in his body system after embarking on the health walk.
According to him, the activity was meant to mobilize the various youth groups of the party at the various institutions in the region towards winning the 2024 general elections and thus thanked the leadership of the Regional youth wing for organizing such a massive event.
While encouraging the youth, the regional chairman said, TESCON has a key role to play in helping the party break the eight years jinx of political power in the country and therefore urged them not to relent in their efforts to campaign for the New patriotic party in the 2024 elections.
He also admonished the members of the savannah regional TESCON to remain united and have a great sense of solidarity for the party to help strengthen it in the region.
He also noted that though Damongo is the homeland of the opposition National Democratic Party, yet the people believed in the leadership of the NPP and embraced it.
The National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Abdul Salam Mustapha expressed his happiness over the enthusiasm seen in members of the youth and TESCON saying, it is a sign of victory for the NPP come 2024.
He further explained that the NPP is the best political party for the young people in Ghana and called on them to be bold to campaign and convince their colleagues to join the winning party, the New Patriotic Party.
The health walk was organized by the Savannah Regional Youth Wing of the NPP as part of measures to bring the youth together to consolidate on the gains of the NPP in the Savannah region come 2024.
