The Paramount chief of the Mankpan Traditional area in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah region, Mankpanwura Jakpa Achor – Ade Borenyi ( I ) has on Friday, 30th December, 2022 donated four ( 4 ) bulls to the Central Gonja District Police Command, the military detachment in Buipe, the 155 armoured regiment military in Damongo and the Savannah regional Police Command.

The bulls were presented to the institutions by a delegation led by Derpewura Matuamu, a sub chief in the mankpan traditional area at their respective command offices.

The acting Secretary to Mankpanwura, Mr. Iddrisu Adam Afuli before presenting the bulls on behalf of Mankpanwura said the gesture from the revered Chief was to enable the beneficiary institutions welcome the New year in a feast manner after a year long service to the people of Mankpan and the Savannah Region as a whole.

He also explained that, the chieftaincy institution and the security are bed fellows who have worked hand in hand in many years in ensuring the peace and security of the people in the Mankpan traditional area and therefore saw the need to show appreciation to them for their selfless work in his area.

According to Mr. Adam Afuli, the gesture to the two security institutions is meant to strengthen the bond and collaborations that existed between the security and the people of the Mankpan traditional area.

In receiving the gifts on behalf of their service commanders, the Savannah Regional Police Commander in charge of operations, Mr. Alex Adjeivie and Lt. Adumako Manu of the 155 armoured regiment respectively expressed their gratitude to Mankpanwura Jakpa Achor-Ade Borenyi ( I ) for his thoughtful gesture extended to them adding that, their outfits appreciates the existing bond and collaborations between the chieftaincy and security institutions and will continue to work together with them to strengthen their existing relationships.

They also noted that Mankpanwura should be expecting their invitations to join them in their yuletide in the coming days.
