The Greater Canteen Electoral Area has witnessed significant contributions to education and healthcare through the Community Development Caravan, led by Assemblyman for the area, Ananpansah Bartholomew Abraham Supported by World Vision, essential Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) were distributed to the Frafra Resettlement Primary School, and a Weighing Table presented to the Kpiri CHPS Compound.
The donation event at Frafra Resettlement Primary School was marked by joy and gratitude from staff and pupils. Among the items donated were:
- Over 200 exercise books for all pupils
- School uniforms for students in need, under the “Decent Uniform per Child Initiative”
- An office clock
- A standard meter football
- Several boxes of pencils, crayons, and erasers for all students
A few weeks prior, the Assemblyman’s office, along with Unit Committee Members, presented a Weighing Table to the Kpiri CHPS Compound. This addition, requested by health staff, facilitates the weighing of babies and contributes to the growth and success of the health facility, now one of the best in the West Gonja Municipality.
Ananpansah Bartholomew Abraham emphasized the ongoing nature of these efforts, noting that the free exercise books donation initiative will extend to all schools in the electoral area. Additionally, the Assemblyman End of Academic Year Award Scheme continues to be successfully implemented, supporting educational excellence for the past three years.
Under his tenure, the Assemblyman has provided various TLMs, including furniture, reading materials, textbooks, library resources, and sports kits, reinforcing his commitment to education. He pledged to sustain these efforts, making education a top priority in the Canteen Electoral Area.
