Damongo:market women organize Qur’anic prayers for Abu Jinapor

The Damongo Market women in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region has on Friday, 26th November, 2021 held quranic prayers for the member of parliament for Damongo, Hon. Abu Jinapor and for all market women in the municipality.

The women brought together malams across the municipality to recite the holy Quran on behalf of the leadership of the market women for it’s members and also for the legislator.

Speaking to padfm.com.gh, Madam Fuseina, the deputy market Queen of the Damongo market women Association explained that, Lawyer Abu Jinapor is the only politician who understands their plight as market women and has Supported them so much in the growth of their businesses.

She indicated that the prayers offered Abu Jinapor is not politics, but to strengthen the law maker in all his endeavours and for the gift of wisdom and God’s guidance in the discharge of his duties as member of parliament for Damongo and minister for lands and Natural resources.

Hajia Aduawura ( market Queen) on her part, commended the MP for the support extended to them so far and pray that God continues to bless and strengthen him with more resources to enable him continue to support them as market women.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Musah Kusubari who was at the event explained that it was the first time to see market women organizing such a prayer for an Member of Parliament for the area and that, he was extremely happy when the market women extended an invitation to him to join them witness a Quranic prayers for Abu Jinapor.

He added that though the prayers were offered for the Member of Parliament, he believes that everyone in the municipality could be blessed with the prayers and called on all and sundry to remember the law maker as he delivers on his promises to the people of the constituency.

Hon. Abu Jinapor recently joined the Market women of Damongo on a get together party organized by the women and made some cash donations to them and subsequently provided street lights throughout the market to brighten up the market for security purposes.
