The president in his recent visit to the region made a first stop to radio Peace and Development (Radio PAD 95.1), to first address the people of the Savannah Region, before paying a courtesy call on the King of Gonja, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Bore Esa I at the royal palace in Damongo.

The president who was hosted by Mr. Sumaila Hafiz Kamara thanked the manager of the radio station, Mathew Zabelle for offering him a wider platform to interact with the people of the Savannah Region since we are no longer in normal times for mass gathering and public addresses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “The reason I have to make a first stop at the studios of Radio Peace and Development (PAD FM) which is the gateway to the Savannah Region is to reach out to the people in a bigger platform”, the president said.

According to him, when he was elected the president of the state he adopted the habit of touring all the regions in the country at least once every year to abreast himself with what is happening on the grounds and he is continuing that in this his second term in office as the president of the nation.

The second is the transformation of the lifes of the ordinary people in Ghana and that his eight years in office will see a significant enhancement and improvement in the wellbeing of the people of Ghana and the development that are being made in terms of how the economy is being run.

The president did not forget to thank the people of the Savannah Region for awarding him with three parliamentary seats in the Region as a sign of loyalty and commitment to the unprecedented developmental activities across the Savannah region witnessed in his first term in office as the president though his main contender in the 2020 elections is a son of the Savannah region.

This visit to the station Mark’s the second time the president is visiting the radio station ( Radio PAD 95.1) and as well using the station to address the people of the region.
