In a heartfelt gesture of support for his community, Borejinkr Habibu Muftawu, a prominent youth leader and philanthropist in the Savannah region of Ghana, on 2nd November, 2024, donated a range of essential items to students and food vendors in Benkro. The event, held in the heart of the community close to Buipe, drew thousands of residents, including notable youth groups like the Borejinkpr Fun Club and the Dingoro Streets Movement Group, as well as local musicians, traditional leaders, and influential community members.

The donation aimed to address the challenges students face in their pursuit of education and to recognize the critical role food vendors play in supporting the local economy.

Muftawu, known for his fearless commitment to justice and transparency, Borejinkr Habibu Muftawu has won the admiration of youth across the region, even while facing criticism from some elders. His willingness to speak out on issues of chieftaincy, community development, and fairness has solidified his reputation as a trusted advocate for the Gonjaland people.

During his speech, Muftawu emphasized the need for unity and resilience within the community, particularly in addressing issues that impact young people’s education and well-being. He revealed that he had provided an undisclosed financial contribution to support students struggling with accommodation and rent costs.

Muftawu also presented a motorbike to the National Association of Gonjaland Students to help meet the needs of students facing transportation challenges. “I’ve often had students come to me for support with fees or accommodation issues,” he explained. “Today’s donation is my way of addressing these challenges in a lasting way and ensuring they have a safe, stable environment for learning.”

The students expressed their deep gratitude for the donation, pledging to use the financial support and motorbike responsibly to uplift the student community. “This generous support from Borejinkr Muftawu will have a significant impact on many of us facing difficulties,” remarked a student representative.

“We promise to use this help wisely to improve our lives and support our fellow students in need. We also call on other sons and daughters of Gonjaland to follow this example of giving back to their community.”

The day also brought joy to the food vendors who had long supported Buipe’s vibrant street life. Muftawu presented them with tables and plastic chairs as a token of appreciation for their tireless efforts.

“The food vendors are like mothers to us, always here to support the community,” he said. “This might be a small gesture, but it’s a way of showing our appreciation for their dedication.”

The vendors were visibly delighted, with one vendor expressing, “This is a wonderful gift, and it means a lot to us. We feel appreciated and are grateful to Borejinkr Muftawu for recognizing our hard work.”

In addition to his charitable contributions, Muftawu used the gathering to advocate for peace and unity ahead of the upcoming elections. He urged the youth to resist any incitement to violence, calling on everyone to work together for a peaceful electoral process. “Don’t let anyone deceive you into acts of violence,” he cautioned.

“What we need is a free, fair, and peaceful election, and it’s up to the Electoral Commission to conduct it responsibly.”

Community members, especially the youth, came out in large numbers to support Muftawu and show solidarity with his vision for a prosperous and peaceful Gonjaland.

Many praised his tireless efforts to uplift the community and promised to stand by him in his mission to foster development and justice across the region.

With his latest act of generosity, Borejinkr Muftawu continues to inspire hope and unity among the people of Buipe and beyond, leaving a lasting impact on both the young and old who look to him as a pillar of strength and compassion in Gonjaland.
