The Deouty Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Dr. Yusif Sulemana, has supported farmers with 500 bags offertilizers o be shared among Larabanga, Nabori, Mognori, Murugu, and surrounding communities in the WestGonjaMunicipalityoftheSavannahRegion. The support is geared toward boosting agricultural output and supporting farmers to improve livelihoods.

This initiative is expected to ease financial burden on farmers around the area and boost production. The initiative forms part of the MP’s continued efforts to support agriculture, which remains the main source of livelihood for many residents in the Savannah region.

Hon. Yusif Sulemana said although Larabanga is outside his constituency, the development of Ghana is a shared responsibility that should not be limited by political boundaries and noted that Larabanga holds a special place in his heart because his mother comes from the community.
“ I’m here at larabanga today, my mother’s village, to fraternize with them once again and to also donate 500 bags of fertilizer to be distributed to farmers within the communities. This is my mother’s home and so the last time I came here during the campaign, the community received me very well and so I thought that, once a while I should always come back and show appreciation “.
Development of the country is not for an individual. The community has an assembly man, unit committee members and an MP. So we work together to promote development becauseit is a shared responsibility, we would have been doing this donation together it the Damongo MP was here, he added.
Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Bole-Bamboi MP for the gesture, describing it as timely as it will reduce production costs and help farmers improve harvest.
