Hangaline-Ngbaripe-Alhassankura Assembly Member Aspirant, Mr. Gorden Kumatey (DJ Flenzy), on Friday, 1st December, 2023 took the lead in a cleanup exercise initiative at the Hangaline Public Toilet near the old Damongo District Library.
Engaging community members around the toilet facility, the Assembly member aspirant explained that the activity was aimed to promote personal hygiene and self-cleanliness among residents.
Mr. Kumatey, expressing his deep concern for the health and well-being of the community he aspires to represent, highlighted the event as a testament to his commitment to prioritize such initiatives.
During his post-cleanup address, he urged residents to integrate cleanliness into their daily routines and embrace communal labor when the need arises.
Mr. Kumatey, envisioning a cleaner environment, pledged to collaborate with relevant authorities to secure a proper waste disposal container for the area to discourage indiscriminate dumping.
In his promise to the community members, the Assembly Member Aspirant assured that, if elected, he would be accessible, committed, transparent and focused on development at the West Gonja Municipal Assembly.
He expressed gratitude to Zoom Lion Ghana Limited for their logistical support, which enabled the successful execution of the cleanup.
Adding a personal touch, Mr. Kumatey personally provided participants with soap, mineral drinks, and water at his own expense, emphasizing his dedication to the community’s well-being. Meanwhile he had earlier supported the 7.7 junction toilet caretaker with Wallington boots and nose masks to aid him in his work at the facility.
