Mariama Katribi, a UK based Ghanaian from the Holly Laribanga community in the West Gonja municipality of the Savannah region on Friday 19th July, 2024, supported the Laribanga health center with medical consumables. The medical consumables included packs of medical hand gloves and antiviral disinfectant surface wipes.
Medical consumables are products used in healthcare settings to control infections, prevent the spread of diseases, and maintain a sterile environment. Antiviral disinfectants are used to disinfect surfaces, equipment, and other objects to prevent the spread of viral infections.
Mariama Katribi is a consistent philanthropist who supports the Laribanga health center. This is the 3rd time she is supporting the health center with medical consumables.
These consumables are meant to enhance health-care delivery to the people of Laribanga and surrounding communities.
Mariama has the welfare of the people of Laribanga at heart and aware of the health care challenges the community is faced with hence, the need to support the Laribanga health center.
Mariama Katribi applauded the MP for Damongo constituency Hon Samuel Abu jinapor for equipping the Larabanga health center with a maternity ward and ambulance, the former MP Adam Mutawakilu Garlus for establishing the health center, and appealed to individuals, NGOs, and the public to aid the health center with consumables and other health needs.
Hon Dramani Katribi, ex-presiding member for the West Gonja Municipal assembly said during presentation of the consumables on her behalf.
Hon Katribi expressed gratitude to the staff at the health center for their dedication and hard work in delivering services to the people of Laribanga and surrounding communities.
The ex-presiding member was assisted by the hardworking Assembly Member for Laribanga Electoral Area Hon Amidu Karim in handing over the consumables to the facility
Receiving the items on behalf of the municipal health directorate was Mr Isaac Ntimenese, the logistics officer for Laribanga health center.
Mr Ntimenese thanked Mariama Katribi for her continuous dedication and asked for God’s blessings and protection for her. He assured the equipment will be used for the intended purposes.
