Producers of bread in Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah region has called on residents of Damongo and it’s environs to patronize made in Damongo bread.
According to the bakers, they produce the most hygienic bread which are more suitable for their consumption than other imported bread from outside Damongo.
The bakers made the call in a live radio interview granted by Damongo based community radio for peace and development ( Padfm 95.1mhz ) with some selected bakers on Friday August 19th, 2022.
The CEO of Yaayi pastries and bakery, Mrs Anyoka Rabi ( Yaayi ) explained that, they produce good and hygienic bread that taste good compared to bread from other places.
She added that, their bread is of quality with rich ingredients under clean and hygienic environment and approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) indicating they have the health of the people of Damongo at heart.
She however lamented on some challenges hindering their work siting high cost of their baking ingredients and the cost of transporting baking ingredients which sometimes determine the size and price of the bread produced.
Madam Rabi continued that, Some people prefer bread from other places but do not know the processes under which such bread’s are produced.
Bread is a low fat source of protein which is required by our bodies for growth, renewal and repair. And as the saying goes, breakfast is not complete in Ghana without bread.
