The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for a gang of armed robbers who attacked a mobile money vendor at Fufulso Junction in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, 8th March 2026, resulted in the death of two people while two others sustained injuries during the attack.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the Ghana Police Service confirmed that the assailants opened fire during the robbery, leading to the casualties.
“The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt for a gang of robbers who shot and killed two people and injured two others at Fufulso Junction in the Savannah Region,” the statement indicated.

According to the police, security has since been intensified within the Fufulso township and surrounding communities as part of efforts to track down the suspects.
The police further assured the public that an intelligence-led operation is currently underway to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
