The West Gonja Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari, on Wednesday, 8th May, 2024 took a proactive step in monitoring the ongoing Voter ID card registration process within the municipality. Expressing satisfaction with the proceedings thus far, Hon. Kusubari visited two registration centers ( the EC office and mobile registration centre at Canteen) where he engaged with security personnel and officials from the Electoral Commission (EC).
During his visit, Hon. Kusubari emphasized the importance of due diligence in the registration process to ensure its success. He encouraged both security and EC officials to maintain vigilance and adhere strictly to the prescribed guidelines.
“The integrity of the registration process is paramount,” stated Hon. Kusubari. “We must ensure that every eligible voter has the opportunity to register without any hindrance.”b
His presence at the registration centres underscores his commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral process.
As the voter registration exercise continues, Hon. Kusubari’s monitoring efforts serve as a testament to the municipality’s dedication to upholding democratic principles and facilitating citizen participation in the electoral process.
