The West Gonja municipal chief executive, Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari on Friday, 29th September, 2023, proudly handed over two significant developments to the Achubunyor community’s healthcare Centre.
One of the projects involved the complete renovation of the existing nurse accommodations, while the other a newly built brand-new quarters for nurses at the Achubunyor CHIPS.
Addressing the chief and residents, Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari emphasized the commitment of the Member of Parliament (MP) to advance healthcare in the Achubunyor area.
He highlighted how the MP’s dedication extended to the enhancement of various aspects of the constituency.
He stated that, originally, the plan was solely to renovate the old nurses quarters, but through the efforts of Samuel Abu Jinapor, some resources were secured for the construction of entirely new nurses accommodations.
He said the provision of the accommodation facility is to ensure that nurses assigned to the Achubunyor healthcare facility lives within the community to provide essential healthcare services to the people.
The Municipal Chief Executive underscored the MP’s dedication to improving healthcare delivery in the constituency, which led to the construction of the four new self-contained apartments.
He urged the people of the Achubunyor community to appreciate the MP’s efforts regardless of their political affiliations and support him in furthering the area’s development.
Hajia Ubaida Nurudeen, a public health nurse at the west Gonja Municipal health Directorate speaking on behalf of the Municipal Director for Health Services, extended gratitude to the MCE and MP for their ongoing support to the health directorate.
She assured that the new facility would be used for its intended purpose, bolstering healthcare services in Achubunyor and the surrounding areas.
Hon. Kipo Yakubu, the Assemblyman for the Achubunyor electoral area, expressed his joy at the project’s completion and thanked the MCE and MP for their contributions to the community and urged
community members to prioritize development over partisanship.
Achubunyorwura Alhassan, the Chief of the Community, also expressed his appreciation for the projects and called upon the MP and MCE to consider constructing a fence around the clinic.
The newly build nurses quarters consist of four single bedrooms, each equipped with a toilet and bathroom, ensuring comfortable accommodations for the healthcare professionals at the Achubunyor CHIPS.
