A young boy believed to be in his twenties is alleged to be battling for his life at the Tamale teaching hospital after being stabbed at his back at Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region in a group fight between Zongo and attributto boys .
According to an eye witness report, the incident happened on Sunday, 11th September, 2022 at about 10pm around the Damongo Astro turf pitch where the groups were seen fighting with dangerous weapons i.e knives, cutlasses among others.
it is also reported that, several of them from both groups suffered various degrees of injuries in the fight but only two of them were reported at the St. Anne’s Catholic Hospital and later, one was referred to the Tamale teaching hospital.
we are told, the victim is in a critical condition at the Tamale teaching hospital with the knife still stucked at his back awaiting surgery.
It is however unclear what might have caused the group fight.
