The Savannah Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, commonly known as Prof Kalamonia, has issued a warning to all ten presidential aspirants within the party.
He urged them to refrain from engaging in insults and vulgar language during their campaigns for the party’s leadership in the 2024 general election.
Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana emphasized that the NPP is known for maintaining a clean and respectable language during general elections, and he expects the same decorum during the internal election process.
According to the Regional Chairman, if any of the aspirants resort to personal attacks or engage in dirty campaigning, it may result in the delegates denying them their votes.

Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana expressed his confidence in the unity of the party under his leadership in the Savannah region and therefore expects all aspirants to demonstrate the same level of unity and cooperation during and after the presidential primary.
He commended the aspirants for successfully passing the vetting process and assured them of the support of his base during their campaigns.
The Regional Chairman also highlighted the importance of maintaining a positive image, as he stated that opponents of the NPP are closely observing the aspirants and any negative behavior could be used against the party in the general election.
He reiterated his commitment to stand firmly behind the candidate endorsed by the delegates, emphasizing that the party remains a strong force heading into the 2024 election.
