In a heartwarming and unexpected turn of events, Professor Kalamonia, the Savannah Regional chairman for the New Patriotic Party ( NPP ) was mobbed by enthusiastic Chiefs, Queen Mothers, and the youth of Daboya during the 2024 Wasipe Damba Festival held on Tuesday, 24th September, 2024 at the Wasipewura’s Palace.
The celebration, known for its vibrant display of culture and tradition, took on a more personal note as the community came together to express their deep appreciation for Professor Kalamonia’s tireless contributions to their development.
As Professor Kalamonia arrived at the forecourt of the Wasipewura’s Palace, ready to demonstrate his damba dance skills, he was met with an overwhelming display of affection.
The Queen Mothers, beaming with joy, danced and embraced him, while the Chiefs, adorned in their royal regalia, nodded in respect, acknowledging his relentless dedication to the welfare of Daboya.
The youth, whose lives have been directly impacted by Professor Kalamonia’s efforts to empower them through various opportunities, chanted his name, cheering with excitement. Their mentor and leader, moved by the outpouring of love, was visibly emotional as the community celebrated his work, which has uplifted many and paved the way for future generations.
