(Damongo) – The Regional Disciplinary Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Savannah region has suspended five(5) constituency executives of the party in the salaga South constituency in separate letters dated 13th October, 2021.
Their suspension came following a petition by One Abdul-Salam Ishak and some other members of the party over some alleged misconducts as consituency
executives addressed to the Regional Executive Committee, which was referred to the Regional Disciplinary Committee for investigation.
The Regional Disciplinary Committee upon hearing all sides to the petition found them guilty of breaches of Article 48(8)(a),(c),&(e) of the constitution of the Party and has relieved them from their positions pursuant to article 48(9)(c)&(d) of the party’s constitution and barred them from contesting any Executive position of the party in the Constituency and at the regional level for two years, one and a half year.
The five suspended Executives speaking to this source through their PRO has denied the alleged allegations against them saying, the have provided videos and audios to the disciplinary committee during their hearings at the party’s headquarters in Damongo and were therefore surprised at the decision of the committee and assured that the will persue the matter at the national level citing unfair judgement to the matter.
The suspended five Executives are accusing the NDC member of parliament for the salaga South constituency, Hajia Zuwera Ibraimah who they claim was never a registered voter in the salaga South constituency prior to the party’s primaries of being the brain behind their suspension to enable her change the album of the party in the constituency to her favor.
The five suspended constituency Executives were; the salaga South constituency Chairman ( Haruna Salifu connection), youth organizer( Mahamudu Muazu D S), women organizer( Hajia Fulera Haruna), Organizer (Mutala Falalu) and communications officer ( Abu Omega).
The committee also suspended the constituency chairman for Daboya/Mankarigu Alhaji Mutala for two years and Atchullo Ashegu for a year.
