The Damongo Constituency Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled a screening interview for 14 applicants vying for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the West Gonja Municipality.
This follows a directive from the Savannah Regional Secretary, instructing constituency secretaries to accept applications from eligible party members interested in the position. The applicants successfully submitted their forms before the January 12, 2025, deadline.
The screening interview, organized by the Constituency Executive Committee (CEC), is set to take place at the NDC Party Office on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The process aims to shortlist between five and seven candidates, who will then proceed to the Regional Executive Committee (REC) for further evaluation. The REC will narrow the list to three finalists for submission to the appointing authority.

Adamu Z. Shaibu, the Deputy Constituency Secretary, expressed confidence in the thoroughness of the process, which will ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates for the position.
The results of this screening are eagerly awaited by the party faithful in the West Gonja Municipality, as the selected candidate will be key to advancing the NDC’s agenda in the area.
