In a philanthropic effort to promote community well-being, the Naada Jinapor Foundation conducted a free health screening for 793 residents of Yipala and its neighboring communities in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region. The initiative, held on December 22nd, 2023, aimed to provide essential health services to the less privileged, emphasizing children and vulnerable individuals.
Mrs. Naada Jinapor, the founder of the not-for-profit organization, expressed the foundation’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare to underserved populations.
During the screening, she underscored the foundation’s broader goal of fostering a healthy, fit, and productive society. Mrs. Naada Jinapor, who is also the wife of Damongo’s Member of Parliament (MP), extended gratitude to the Chiefs and people of the area for their ongoing support.
Highlighting the significance of community outreach, Mrs. Naada Jinapor announced plans to expand the foundation’s activities to other areas within the Damongo constituency. She emphasized the foundation’s focus on addressing various health issues and encouraged the renewal of her husband’s mandate in the upcoming 2024 elections, citing his impactful service to the community.
The health screening, executed by a dedicated medical team, covered conditions ranging from pediatric concerns to skin conditions and general health assessments. Individuals with more serious ailments, such as eye problems, high blood sugar, and high blood pressure, were referred to hospitals for further treatment, with the foundation covering associated costs.
This event marked another successful chapter in the Naada Jinapor Foundation’s history of community service. In previous years, collaborative efforts with the MP’s office led to similar health screening initiatives in Damongo, Larabanga, Busunu, and Achubunyor. In 2022, the foundation demonstrated its commitment by covering the costs of breast cancer surgery and medical bills for two patients—one from Damongo and another from Krabonso in the Bono East Region—after the medical team identified positive cases in approximately 21 women from both towns.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the foundation’s dedication to their well-being, reflecting the positive impact of the Naada Jinapor Foundation in promoting community health and vitality.
