The MTN Ghana Foundation, in partnership with Cal Bank, is set to spearhead the 2026 edition of the annual “Save A Life” Blood Donation Campaign, with an ambitious goal of collecting 7,000 units of blood in a single day to support healthcare delivery across the country.
The nationwide initiative aims to bolster the National Blood Service and regional hospital blood banks, helping to address the persistent shortage of blood required for emergency care, surgeries, maternal health services, and the treatment of chronic illnesses.
The “Save A Life” campaign has, over the years, become one of Ghana’s most impactful corporate-led health interventions, mobilising thousands of voluntary donors to contribute to saving lives. The 2026 drive is expected to bring together MTN employees, Cal Bank staff, customers, partners, and the general public in a collective effort to support the health sector.
By targeting 7,000 units of blood in a single day, the MTN Ghana Foundation and Cal Bank are reinforcing their commitment to community well-being and sustainable healthcare support. The collected blood will be distributed through the National Blood Service to hospitals nationwide to meet critical and urgent needs.
Further details on the campaign, including donation centres and timelines, will be announced in the official media release as preparations intensify toward the 2026 event.
MTN Ghana is therefore calling on the public and stakeholders to lend their usual support to help make the 2026 “Save A Life” Blood Donation Campaign a success and ultimately, save thousands of lives across Ghana.
