In a remarkable display of generosity, philanthropist Mr. Asari Abdul Fataw, popularly known as Mr. Q, has sponsored 20 high-achieving students from the North Gonja District to Senior High School. The students, selected from 16 schools in the district, were awarded educational materials, including a chalkbox, mattress, scientific calculator, 10 notebooks, and mathematical sets.

During the occasion, Mr. Q emphasized the importance of education, encouraging the beneficiaries to seize the opportunity and make the most of it. He reiterated that the initiative is driven solely by philanthropic motives, with no political undertones. “This is purely philanthropic work, devoid of politics. I’m simply trying to give back to society, nothing more,” he stated.
The North Gonja Education Director, Mr. Kofi Apeatse Odum, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Q for his support, noting that it would significantly impact the district’s educational landscape. “Mr. Q, I am grateful for the support towards the improvement of education in the District. As a director of education, I will always support your initiatives, and all I can say is that Allah richly bless you,” he said.

The occasion chair, Mr. Mumuni Sulemana, also took the opportunity to advise the students and parents. He urged the students not to become complacent after receiving the sponsorship and advised parents to prioritize their children’s education, promoting academic integrity. “Don’t believe in copy and pass during examinations,” he cautioned.
Mr. Q’s initiative is expected to have a lasting impact on the district, and his commitment to giving back to society is commendable. As the program continues to expand, it is likely to provide more opportunities for students in the North Gonja District, further solidifying Mr. Q’s legacy as a champion of education.
