His Excellency, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Presidential Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is scheduled to embark on a tour of the Savannah Region on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024.
This tour forms part of his comprehensive nationwide regional engagement strategy.
During his visit to the Savannah Region, Vice President Bawumia will partake in a series of activities aimed at fostering dialogue, understanding and community engagement.
These activities include whistle-stops at key locations such as the Yapei toll booth and the Fulfulso Lorry market as well as a private visit to meet with the Busunuwura.
Additionally, he will convene a breakfast meeting with clergy members, engage with the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs, inspect ongoing limited registration exercises, interact with market women, conduct house-to-house visits, host a youth connect session, convene a party meeting and conclude the day with a dinner before departing for Tamale.
In anticipation of Vice President Bawumia’s visit, the New Patriotic Party in the Savannah Region, led by Prof. Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalamonia, assures the public of thorough preparations to ensure a warm and enthusiastic welcome for the incoming president.
