“Ngbanya be Aŋasa be Lambu” a social media WhatsApp group made up of sons and daughters from Gonjaland has supported the King of Gonjaland, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I with an amount Ghc 20,000 to aid the king to reach out to some hospitalised individuals in Daboya who sustained injuries in the recent Lukula Disturbances.
The group handed over the said amount to the king on Sunday, 16th July, 2023 at Damongo through it’s representatives led by the president of the group, Alhaji Abdul Mumin kuyukun, the organizer, Mr Ayawu Imoru with the company of some executives of the group.
The organizer of the group, Mr. Ayawu Imoru explained that the support from the group was to help augment the efforts of the king in his bid to extend a helping hand to the hospitalised victims of the recent lukula incidents.
On the activities and purpose for creating the group “Ngbanya be Aŋasa be Lambu”, Mr. Ayawu Imoru said the group was formed to bring together all son’s and daughters of the Gonja kingdom under one umbrella to learn and share ideas on the history, culture and traditions of the Gonja people.
He also mentioned that, the group as part of it’s activities, has apportioned the days of the week for traditional learning activities on the group’s WhatsApp platform via voice note recordings.
The “Ngbanya be Aŋasa be lambu” is the biggest social media WhatsApp platform in Gonjaland which allows only voice note recordings in their discussions to aid the understanding of all on the platform.
The king and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I on his part, thanked the group first, for introducing the group to him and for the support given to him to aid him cater for the medical bills of their brothers in Daboya.
The king also admonished the group to stay united as one people and desist from abusive languages and words that may disrupt the peace and Development of the kingdom.
He further delegated his linguist to lead the group to Daboya on his behalf to check on the affected victims and to handover the said amount to the Wasipewura for him to see to the commencement of the medical treatment of the affected persons.
The group later visited the sick to check on their current health and to solidarize with them .
