The East Gonja Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Richard Broni together with the NPP Constituency Executives in the Salaga South constituency has Monday, 28th November, 2022 handed over some medical equipments to the Paediatric (Children’s) ward of the Salaga Government Hospital on behalf of an industrious and benevolent son of the area, Ing. Dr Braimah Abdallah Clifford.

The medical equipments which is worth thousands of Ghana Cedis, comprised of 10 pieces of sharp containers, 1 oxygen concentrator (5 litres), 1 oxygen cylinder, 4 pulse Oximeta, 20 drip stand, 2 vein finder, 2 suction machine and 1 perfuser. It can be recalled that, the paediatric (children’s) ward of the Salaga Government Hospital was adopted by the Managing Director of the Ghana Water Company Ltd, Ing. Dr Braimah Abdallah Clifford leading to the massive renovation of the ward in the past.

The Hospital Matron, Hajia Ayishetu Zakaria on receiving the medical equipments expressed her utmost appreciation to Ing. Dr Braimah Abdallah Clifford for his endless and selfless sacrifices to the Paediatric (Children’s) ward and the Salaga Government Hospital at large and promised all items received would be judiciously used to help in the proper health delivery at the facility.
The Salaga Senior High School in similar exercise received seven lorry tyres and some copies of a book written in memory of the late J.A Braimah from Ing. Dr Braimah Abdallah Clifford to help in their day-to-day activities and teaching ans learning in the school.

In addition to this, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Richard Broni also handed over two tricycle ambulance to the Kafaba and Kulpi clinics received from the Northern Development Authority (NDA) to augment the one District, One Ambulance initiative of government in ensuring that patients are easily referred and transferred from the health centres to the main referral Hospitals.

The Salagawura, some opinion leaders, Assembly Members, staff of the hospital and other stakeholders were all in attendance.
