A delegation from Rwanda recently visited Ghana’s Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation (MoCD) to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange in the realm of digitalisation.
Led by Mr. Kanesa Nasser, the Director of Digital Transformation at Rwanda’s Ministry of ICT and Innovation, the visit aimed to facilitate the sharing of insights, experiences, and best practices related to their ongoing digital transformation efforts.
Ms. Ama Pomaa Boateng, the Deputy Minister for Communication and Digitalisation who welcomed the delegation emphasized the importance of international cooperation in advancing the digital agendas of both nations.
She highlighted how collaboration across borders is essential for collective progress in today’s interconnected world.
Ms. Boateng praised the commitment of Rwanda’s Ministry of ICT and Innovation team for their dedication to mutual growth and emphasized the potential for transformative advancements in both countries digital landscapes through the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
The Minister underlined the role of technology in sustainable development and stressed the need for synergy in digitalisation efforts.
She expressed optimism about the positive outcomes that could arise from this collaborative journey.
During the visit, Mr. Emmanuel Ofori, the Deputy Director in charge of Policy, Planning, Budget, Monitoring, and Evaluation at MoCD, presented Ghana’s digitalisation initiatives which
encompass E-Government Services, Digital ID Systems, ICT Infrastructure Development, Cybersecurity and Data Protection, Innovation and Startups, and Digital Literacy and Skills Development.
