East Gonja Municipal Chief Executive nominee gets 100% endorsement

(Salaga) – The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) nominee for East Gonja Municipality, Hon. Richard Broni has received a resounding 100 % endorsement from Assembly members of the area.

All 34 Assembly members for the area were present for the Confirmation processes out of which Hon. Richard Broni obtained 34 yes votes giving him the nod to lead as the Municipal Chief Executive for East Gonja Municipal Assembly.

In a brief virtual address, the Regional Minister Hon. Saeed Muhazu Jibril explained that though things never went the way all expected but he is very glad that after a broader stakeholder consultations on the ground and with those who matter in the confirmation processes, Richard Broni is the new MCE nominee

Hon. Saeed Muhazu thanked the members of the Assembly for their time, patience and efforts in the confirmation processes and called on the Assembly members in the area to do what is right by confirming Hon Richard Broni, the MCE nominee for the assembly to speed up the developmental processes in the area.

Hon. Richard Broni expressed gratitude to members of the Assembly for the honor done him for the overwhelmed endorsement and thanked the president of the Republic, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for nominating him as MCE for the East Gonja Municipal Assembly.

Hon. Richard Broni explained that, he was exceedly excited by the unique decision of members of the Assembly to put the past behind and to forge ahead in unity in other to address the developmental challenges facing the area.

The confirmed MCE said that his confirmation by the Assembly members with such an A+ percentage is a reflection of the high degree of confidence reposed in him and that with their support and co-operation, he will live up to expectations.

He thanked all well – meaning people of the area for their significant roles played in ensuring that the East Gonja Municipal Assembly remains united and that they can not afford to disappoint them but work hard to vindicate the trust given him.

Hon. Richard Broni was nominated by the President of the Republic, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on 11th November, 2021 to replace Hon. Mohammed Tamimu who was rejected twice by Assembly members of the Assembly in two confirmation attempts.
