East Gonja Youth Star( E. G. Y. S ), a football club in the East Gonja municipality has on Tuesday, 23rd November, 2021, extended their congratulatory message to the newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Hon. Richard Broni on his 100% endorsement by members of the East Gonja Municipal Assembly.
The PRO of the club, Mr Mohammed Mahmud Nasiru on behalf of the club explained that, the are very grateful to the president of the Republic for nominating Hon. Richard Broni for the position and also to the Assembly members for giving the him such an overwhelmed endorsement and that it is their hope that God will guide Hon. Richard Broni to deliver on the expectations of the people in the Municipality.

Members of the E. G. Y. S further explained that, it is their hope that the MCE who is a youth himself will fruitful collaborate with the youth and the authorities of the area to speed up the lacking developmental processes in the municipality.
The group commended Hon. Richard Broni for making time to witness their recent match played and the honor done them by making a presentation to the man of the match award to the well deserved player
Hon. Richard Broni was nominated by the President of the Republic, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on 11th November, 2021 to replace Hon. Mohammed Tamimu who was rejected by Assembly members of the Assembly in two confirmation attempts and was given an overwhelming 100%
