The Damongo Senior High School’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has extended a helping hand by donating 30 bags of rice to the school.
The PTA’s benevolent act was prompted by the school’s appeal for assistance.
On behalf of the PTA, it’s Chairman, Wakawaka-Wura Mumuni Joseph Akati explained that the donation is a small but significant step towards ensuring food security within the school community.
He also took the opportunity to urge parents to support the PTA through their contributions to enable them undertake similar initiatives in the future.
Mr. Masahudu Zakaria, Deputy Regional Director of the GES overseeing supervision, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Regional Director of Education for the timely gesture from the PTA and noted that the donation would greatly enhance the school’s ongoing efforts to provide students with sufficient meals.
Assistant Headmaster of Dass, Chief Dramani Kipo, responsible for administration assured that the school’s management would utilize the donated food supplies effectively to achieve their intended purpose.
He also extended their heartfelt thanks to the PTA for their thoughtful contribution.
The school recently faced shortages in providing meals for its students, making the PTA’s donation all the more impactful.
