On Monday, 30th January, 2023, the Paramount Chief and President of the Buipe Traditional Council, HRM Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II made a donation of fifty bags of Cement to the Tamale central prisons.
The Gesture by the revered Chief was in fulfilment of a promise made to the new commanding officer of the Ghana Prison service Northern command some few weeks ago when the new commander and a high powered delegation from the Ghana prison service paid a courtesy call on him at the Jinapor Palace to officially introduce the new commanding officer of the service to him and to as well renew their commitment to working with the Buipe Traditional authority as practiced by service.
The donation was presented by Kushiwura Mankir Zibililu on behalf of the Buipe paramount chief at a very short and colorful ceremony at the Jinapor palace.
The donation by the philosopher chief is meant to help the service carry out a short term rehabilitation works at the Tamale central prisons which is currently in a deplorable state while waiting to take measures to carry out major rehabilitation works later.
In receiving the gesture, the commanding officer expressed gratitude and shock in the urgency at which Buipewura responded to their plead adding that the Support from Traditional authority will help boast their morale to duty and assured Jinapor II of their continuous commitment to contributing to the reforming inmates at the Tamale Central prison.
