The Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area, Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso I, has donated a bull to the Bole Municipal Hospital in recognition of the unwavering dedication and exceptional performance of its staff in delivering healthcare services under challenging conditions.
The symbolic gesture took place during a brief ceremony at the hospital premises on Thursday, 14th August 2025, where the Bolewura lauded the institution for its professionalism and commitment. Reflecting on his most recent visit to the facility, the Paramount Chief commended the hospital’s management and frontline workers for their high standards, urging them to continue serving the people of Bole with the same zeal and excellence.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, Medical Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Wadeyir Abesig expressed profound gratitude to the Bolewura for the thoughtful gift, describing it as a morale booster for the staff. Dr. Abesig reaffirmed the hospital’s dedication to providing quality healthcare not only to the people of Bole but to the wider Savannah Region.
However, Dr. Abesig also used the occasion to draw attention to the hospital’s critical needs. As a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist, he highlighted the urgent need for infrastructure development and modern medical equipment. Since its establishment in 1974, the hospital has not seen any major renovations, making it difficult to attract and retain qualified personnel.

He appealed to the Paramount Chief to advocate on behalf of the hospital to secure government intervention and support. “With improved infrastructure and resources, we can further enhance service delivery and ensure that patients receive the standard of care they deserve,” he said.
The ceremony ended on a note of optimism, with both traditional leadership and medical authorities pledging to work together for the betterment of healthcare in the Bole area.
