Member of Parliament for Damongo, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has donated some food items including: 2 bags of maize, 2 bags of cassava, 50 bags of Rice, a bull, 50 packs of bottled mineral water and a cash amount of fifty thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 50,000) to support the seventh day funeral rites of Late Gonjaland King, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa ( I ).
The Donation by the Damongo MP was done on his behalf by the Savannah regional minister, Hon. Saeed Muhazu Jibriel, the MCE for West Gonja, Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari and some executives of the NPP in the Damongo constituency.
The Gesture by the Damongo lawmaker was received by the funeral planning committee chairman, Mankpanwura Jakpa Achor-Ade Borenyi (I) on behalf of the acting chief of the Gonja state, Sonyowura Kanyiti (I).
Presenting the items on behalf of Abu Jinapor, the West Gonja Municipal chief executive, Hon. Musah Karim Kusubari said, the Donation by the Damongo MP cum Minister was to support the 7th Day funeral rites of the late King set for 26th February, 2023.
On the sidelines of the Damongo Mp’s Donation, the Savannah regional coordinating Council on behalf of all MDA’s also donated Ghc 30,000 cash to support the funeral.
